2023 had been filled with many art shows, exhibitions, and a couple of events that we were fortunate to participate in. It has allowed me to share my art outside of our small garage in San Diego and I hope to be fortunate enough for that to continue in 2024.
There are several opportunities at the turn of the new year that we have and will be submitting artwork to. HMVC Gallery in New York is hosting their "layers" exhibit, Teravarna is hosting their open art call and they are also calling for art to participate in the LA Art Show which is February 15-18. We submitted three paintings (large bridge, large waterfall, and our floral painting) to the LA art show- what an honor it would be!
In addition to these events, there are many others on the horizon that we would like to submit to take part in. As some may know, I am an officer in the Navy and we are expecting to move mid-year to Monterey, California for a couple of years. While this will slow down my ability to produce new art, we should still remain active in the art scene during our move up north.
In addition to paintings, I have been working with sea glass and clear epoxy to create new and nice looking necklaces. During our last art show, we nearly sold out of our necklaces as they were (surprisingly) a big hit. We love creating and designing of all sorts, so I suspect we'll continue to dabble in crafting along side our art and apparel designs.
If you're reading this, thank you. Thank you for coming along in our journey and we look forward to what 2024 has in store for Macpackdesign.
Sincerely,
Mac
